Division & League Lead

Here along the Lake I was behind last week’s opponent until Saturday night when I was able to pull ahead and ended up with the higher score by the completion of Sunday night’s games.

Still maintaining the League lead, this week I am matched with Magnificent Mike’s Team the only loss I have absorbed this season was in the initial weekly matchup to this opponent.
I was the only team manager thus far to utilize the waiver wire today, so I had to make some adjustments to ensure I have a near equal number of players for tonight’s games.

The two players I dropped are now underachieving, not to say I will not endeavor to bring them back onto my roster, (LW) Barbashev is doing well enough, but I would rather have (RW) Stone who seems to be trending upwards since his return, and adding (D) Gudas and dropping (C) Cirelli (whom I like) seems prudent for tonight’s games.
Remember, no matter how brilliant of a team manager and strategist you are, if the actual NHL players do not perform…you don’t win.

That’s true. We can do all we can as team managers but when push comes to shove, it’s still up to them to perform to the best of their ability.
Well done Buffalo Winter, another successful week for you. Funny enough, there is a team in my H2H league that has a team name of “Jim’s Scary Team” and I wonder if he is your “John”.
In my Roto league, I had Mark Stone then he went on IR and instead of dropping him (and risking that another team manager pick him up) I placed Stone on my IR for this length of time. (In my H2H league, I did the same with FLA Matthew Tkachuk who is expected to return 12/15/25. Unfortunately, my NYR (D) Adam Fox is also now on IR.)
I continue to be in 4 or 5th most weeks in my Roto league and in my H2H league this past week, sadly, I lost my matchup badly to my opponent (first in his division) having accrued only 91.8 points compared to his 123.7 buuuuuut, at least I sit second in my own H2H division. The very good news, imho, is that the week before I had my best result ever –142.4 points!

It is funny enough, I also thought the same thing at first, but I believe it is more the ESPN FHL server generating the same generic names for most team managers across all leagues.
You are more successful in H2H, and earning over 140 points in a weekly matchup is outstanding, good job, and you are still in a solid position for a playoff seeding.

BTW, Buffalo Winter, I think that is a very nice FHL Buffalo graphic at the top.
