  1. How many teams are there in the league you are playing and whereabouts in the order were you at the start of the draft?

Which players went first, second and third?

Leon Draisaitl is obviously an exceptional pick and you will do well with him.

Dahlin is also a great choice (I’m assuming Tage Thompson was already gone and ditto for JJ PPeterka and Tuch).

I’m also glad to see you drafted one of my favourite Leafs players, Matthew Knies.

    Good luck!

    1. I am participating in a 10-team league, and was fortunate to draft third overall, Nathan McKinnon went first and a goaltender second, (G) Hellebuyck, them me, fourth was Awesome Matthews and then fifth was Connor McDavid, can you believe it? I also was able to draft Dahlin in the third round amazingly enough.

Yes Thompson, Tuch, Nylander (my mainstay) were taken before I could draft them, but I did get Mitch Marner (I know, I know) and I wanted a decent Toronto player, so I was also fortunate to be able to draft Knies, I am glad he is one of your favorites.

I am also shocked that no one cared to draft Celebrini or Bedard, and even Patrick Laine, incredible, oh well, let us hope my team does do well, and I think they will, and thank you for wishing me and my boys good luck, lol.

      1. Thank you.

I’m surprised no one quickly drafted Nikita Kucherov who had a very productive year last season (121 points).

Dollars to donuts your fantasy team will do well relative to the other teams in the league because you stay on top of it on a daily basis for the entire season–not everyone does.

I jointed an ESPN fantasy draft league draft this morning but unfortunately all the slots did not get taken and I couldn’t stay on waiting any longer. I will try another day.

      2. Yes (RW) Kucherov now has collected five seasons with 100 or more points, it was surprising he lasted until the last selection of the first round.

I appreciate doughnuts, any kind of baked goods works for me, and sure I spend some time each day on my FHL team, and I have written about real life and things happen but to truly be successful in an ESPN FHL you have to put aside some time each day to ensure your lineup is correct or risk losing out on valuable points and losing the weekly battle.

I have had that happen to me a couple of times during past seasons, get a team in by Monday night, if you can.

      3. The link works fine, I have not played “roto” rotisserie fantasy hockey, only H2H (head-to-head), the scoring formats and strategies are different.

My articles and advice apply to H2H ESPN FHL style of play, so you might want to get your goaltenders back and not follow my fantasy advice being that these leagues are played differently.
