Friday Night Winners

Colorado Rockies

Avalanche 5 – Wild 2 (en) Colorado was sporting their “Rockies” tribute sweater, not exactly the same logo from the 1970s but very similar, additionally the NHL Colorado Rockies became the New Jersey Devils, and it was the Quebec Nordiques that moved to Colorado, which gave rise to the Nordiques/Avalanche hybrid sweaters.

Stars 6 – Kings 2 It took Dallas three attempts and their special teams to score twice on the power play to beat Los Angeles once as they finish their three game regular season series last night.

So, were going to Kyle’s house for beers after the game?

Maple Leafs 3 – Rangers 2 An exciting game in New York City as the Rangers scored shorthanded to tie the game early in the third period 2-2, but it took Toronto just a couple of minutes later to get that one back and the 3-2 lead which they held on to for the win.

  1. With last night’s win, Maple Leafs are back in first in the Atlantic taking over from the Panthers.

Nylander’s breakaway resulting in a goal is another feather in his cap, imho.

NHL Public Relations announced Nylander’s second period goal last night moved him into top 10 in goals, tying Bob Pulford for the 10th most in franchise history.

Toronto Star reporting that Marner’s third-period assist was his 713th career point, tying George Armstrong for the fifth-most in franchise history

I’m hoping OEL isn’t out for long.

TY. I appreciate these shighlights because I don’t watch every game played.
