Jeff Skinner sets milestone in Buffalo

Buffalo 6 – Washington 2 The Buffalo Sabres treated one of their own with a tribute night as they recognized Mr. Skinner and his accomplishment of 1,000 NHL games during last night’s brawny black & red sweater home game.

The game itself was enjoyably exciting as the Sabres staked the Capitals to an early 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the first period before score twice in 68 seconds to take the 2-1 lead with just over three minutes remaining in the period.

In the second period the teams traded goals that kept Washington within one but that was all she wrote for the Capitals as the Sabres scored three times in approximately two and half minutes early in the third period for the 6-2 victory.

Before puck drop Mr. Skinner with his girlfriend, his parents, siblings, along with two of his best friends were present at center ice as the Sabres paid tribute to an outstanding player who was about to participate in his 1,000th NHL game.

Hi Buffalo Winter, did you watch the Buffalo Sabres production ‘Between 2 Stalls: The Jeff Skinner 1,000th Game Reunion Special’?
I watched it on Twitter.
It’s 6:57 long.

Hello P_g,
Thank you for commenting, in light of my previous belligerency towards your team.
I did watch it, too funny, I had been watching some of Mr. Skinner’s shorts that he has created and posted as the original host of “Between 2 Stalls” where he has some silly fun mispronouncing names and getting stats incorrect, something I have not seen this team do before, I appreciate their efforts.
And as far as hockey goes, I am endeavoring to have fun, lol.

Not to worry Buffalo Winter, we all go through those kind of moments with our own favourite teams and sometimes all we need is a gentle nudge or reminder what are the priorities in life.
It has taken me a long time, with the encouragement of hockey friends and family, to realize this truth and tbh, admittedly, at times I am still a work in progress, sigh, lol.
It is cool to hear that you knew (and I am not at all surprised) and that you had already seen his shorts. Pink? 😉 Just kidding, silly me!
BW, enjoy your game tonight against the Flyers. It should be a good one to watch. And have a wonderful weekend!
