20 Teams in 20 Days

Buffalo Sabres {20th overall} Eastern Conference, Atlantic Division

The Sabres last year won over 40 games and accumulated over 90 points in the regular season for the first time since 2010-11 which coincidentally is the last time Buffalo earned a playoff seeding but last season fell short of a wild card by one point.

Buffalo has a dominant offense, their two Number One first-round NHL Entry Draft picks on defense, and now with the launching of Devon Levi as the Sabres’s number one goaltender all under the guidance of HC Granato and his staff looking to march Buffalo into the playoffs.

The Sabres were the youngest team in the NHL with the oldest active player in the NHL last season and now Buffalo’s young corps of talented players gaining even more experience/confidence is fast becoming one of the most exciting teams in the NHL.

    1. I was attempting to write about my boys with the same perspective/lens I was using for each of the other teams, I was debating with myself about writing a more detailed synopsis but I was going for consistency, lol

    From the team: The Buffalo Sabres mourn the life of our legendary broadcaster and a member of our family, Rick Jeanneret, who passed away today.

    There is also a statement on twitter from Terry Pegula and a posted statement from Kevyn Adams.

    I’m sure Mr. Jeanneret’s name will be very well known to you.

    1. Thank you for the link, I did read the statements from both Mr. Pegula and Adams.

      Of course any fan of the Sabres will know of Mr. Jeanneret, in my Buffalo Sabres 1977-78 media guide Mr. Jeanneret is listed doing radio play-by-play and/or color, and is the play-by-play announcer for cable television.
