Vacation time is over, back to the ice!

Coaches and players signed, new ECHL affiliate, 2023 Prospects Challenge.

There is always something to do here along the Lake during the Summer months, boating, swimming, fishing, bicycling, camping, festivals and concerts, but nothing compares to Hockey.

Alumni Plaza at KeyBank Center

Professionals rarely take “time off”, players train all year, coaches administer and strategize all year and all the support from so many different people that is required all year is staggering.

Even the Cup champions are afforded only a “respite” before the daily responsibilities of winning again envelope them.

Just 77 days until the NHL regular season schedule begins and they will pass quickly so you should put time and effort into your upcoming ESPN NHL FHL team/league to be competitive, life is busy and takes precedence but in order to win you must find time to manage.

8th Annual Prospects Challenge September 15– 18, 2023

Five NHL teams consisting of their current high draft prospects come to downtown Buffalo to participate with the Sabres in a six-team round-robin tournament at the LECOM Harborcenter. (10$ ticket per game)

ECHL Jacksonville Icemen cometh to Buffalo

The Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers have “switched” professional development ECHL affiliates the Sabres now have Florida’s Icemen and the Rangers are now in Ohio with the Cyclones, with no explanations each team expresses contentment with the swap.

  1. Awesome! Great to see you back writing. Buffalo Winter, who are those three hockey statues in the plaza at the KeyBank Center?

The tickets for the Annual Prospects Challenge seem to be affordable. It’s nice to see. Will you go to any of the games?

    1. The statue is of the “French Connection”, I will make the supposition you know who they are (were), lol, I also think that ten dollars is not too absorbent of a price to watch top draft picks from a handful of NHL teams compete in a development tournament.

I am endeavoring to make all three but primarily on Saturday to be able to enjoy the “Fan Fest” as well, you and paper dude should come on down and check out the Hockey festivities and our city’s hospitality.

      1. I just asked PD. He could name them. Admittedly, not I.

Honestly, I wish we could attend and even meet up with you and yours, however, it won’t be possible given what life is throwing at us these days. I will definitely look forward to your write-ups and photos!
