Oilers Offense Obsolete

Panthers 5 – Oilers 2 (en) (SCF 3-2 Florida) The Edmonton Oilers seem like a rudderless ship when it comes to their vaunted power play, who is ultimately responsible for the power play, the players, the head coach, or just the team in general?

Edmonton now finds itself in a “do or die” situation as they prepare to return to Florida to capture another road victory to bring game seven back to Alberta, or the Panthers on the cusp of winning consecutive Cups will bring another stunning defensive effort and remain champions.

GAME SIX Tuesday Night 8pm

Oilers played like the Toronto Maple Leafs in two of their poorly played games against the Panthers in the second round.
I still believe that the Stanley Cup Final will go the full distance to 7 games.

It appears as if the Panthers have that effect on their opponents.
The Oilers can win again in Florida, but someone…Skinner or Pickard has got to stop letting in 4 or 5 goals, then there is the ineffectiveness of Edmonton’s power play which needs to produce, and arguably the best player in the NHL has just scored his first goal of the Finals and could light the lamp a bit more.
Now I have to change my prognostication from Edmonton wins in six games to Edmonton win in seven games.
