NHL All-Star Vacation Weekend Extravaganza

This past weekend appeared to be a whole lot of fun for the players and their families and some well-deserved time off for the players not “invited” to participate, I do wax nostalgic about All-Star games hoping the NHL returns to having them.

New York 2 Colorado 1 OT In an exciting goaltending duel between Mr. Georgiev and Mr. Quick the Rangers goalie earned the secondary assist on the game winning goal as New York wins big in the Big Apple.

New York 3 Toronto 2 This game had both defensemen M. Reilly (Islanders) and M. Rielly (Maple Leafs) earning an assist, Toronto’s Mr. Nylander with 6 SOG and an assist, and just an amazing post, crossbar, post, and out bell ringer from Mr. Matthews.

But it was the Islanders Mr. Sorokin in net stopping 35 out of 37 shots that help New York earn its ninth victory on the road this season.
Buffalo returns to action tonight as they host Dallas at seven o’clock and Edmonton endeavors to tie Pittsburgh’s NHL record for consecutive wins in sin city beginning at ten.
