Edmonton Oilers {tied for 6th overall} Western Conference, Pacific Division

The Oilers were an offensive juggernaut last season compiling the second-best goal differential with a +65, scoring over 300 goals and scoring 20 more goals than the number one team in the League, and finished the season on a nine-game winning streak.

After two overtime games in the opening round, Edmonton was down 2-1 but then scored 16 goals over the next three games to advance where they met the eventual Cup winner in round two.

Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Zach Hyman discussed the pain of the early playoff exits the last two seasons to the eventual Cup winners and how it is not a moral victory but a lesson and experience that will assist them in their efforts toward winning the Cup in the 2023-24 season.

Oy vey iz mir. I see on social media that hockey fans of the Edmonton Oilers and fans of other teams are already predicting if Mr. McDavid will remain in Edmonton or come to Toronto or move to another NHL team.
While change is a necessary evil, or however that saying goes, I still miss having Zach Hyman in a Leafs uniform.

I was scanning Oilers news on their web page this morning, rumors and such can be entertaining but if Mr. McDavid did decide to change teams it would definitely change the new teams divisional and wild card seeding abilities, imho.
I have missed Sabres players that have left before their careers were over, one in particular is Dave Andreychuk and you might remember him scoring over 50 goals a couple of times as a Leafs player so I can relate.
